Some local color.  Orange seems to be one of their favorites.
The Mongolians have a love for memorials.  This one depicts Chingus Khan's mother who was born near here.  She had 9 children, 4 of whom were adopted, one of which was Khan.  This is a really big statue.
This geir is very typical of dwellings outside the city.  They are very well insulated and easy to keep warm in the winter.  If they don't like where they are living they can take it down within 3 hours and go somewhere else.  Kind of like a mobile home without wheels.
Found some local children out playing in the sunshine.  They agreed to pose for the photo  It was near 72 degrees this afternoon so after Church Tim and Bolt picked us up and took us for a drive where we saw these sights.
This character, I think, had sipped one too many but he was way proud of his red hat.  Maybe I can pick one up for Bryan to wear to the U games.

  1. Treat your adopted kids well, you never know when you might have a Chingus! Love the pics of the locals!
