We worked hard today. The Mayor wanted us to examine and treat his staff's children sometime while we're here and we've been so busy we decided today was our only day. We examined about 60 children, some of whom needed no treatment and treated the rest. we didn't complete treatment on all that was needed but we put a good sized dent in the group. we then went to a baptism at the church which is right next door. a 12 year old girl and her grandmother were baptized and the Mongolian elders were so humble and excited. The young girl was our interpreter in sacrament meeting and she asked us to come. We were asked to be witnesses and then invited for treats afterward. Had a great time.
These were some of my patients today. Dang cute. The one on the left is the daughter of the minister of health.
I've seen a few women around with flashing smiles. Tooth jewelry may be coming soon to a dentist near you.
This is a pretty typical meal. It's beef stew, potato salad, carrots, hot water, and something else. There is always a kind of something else, sometimes good and sometimes not. We're eating well and so far tolerating it well. Our hosts worry about us and make sure we have everything we need.
